I agree. Everyone was worried that Diaco was going to get all these head coaching gigs. I get that the players liked him but I recall the Bama players saying how well prepared to face our defense and that it was pretty vanilla. IMO he still has a lot to learn.

You hit that on the head.

Luckily we have a good front, our scheme is nothing special.

I know many of you are much more knowledgeable about our roster than I, but if I recall correctly the Secondary was the young and inexperienced part of our D last year compared to the LBs and Line. In watching the game though it seems to me that Temple is trying to negate our advantage upfront by not running on obvious running downs and using the short passing game as well; we are rarely getting pressure either with the front 3(4) or with a backer or corner. Most of the coverage looks pretty good but even it will break down eventually, we need to do a better job of getting pressure while maintaining containment; the QB has run for some easy first downs and the only pursuit came from the rushing linemen.

Offensively, sometimes very crisp and a good diversity of calls and targets, a lot of potential here even with Rees just being a manager and not trying to be the Manziel (can I say I dislike the kid?).

Very much the opposite of what I expected to see: thought our D would really be stronger, both individually and collectively as a unit and our O would be the iffy part but it seems the O is crisp (I'm sure their D has some part in it too) and the D is iffy, if we were facing a better offense this game might be a lot different.

How does ASU blow? Will Sutton Carl Bradford Aldon Darby? Espn said we have the best pass rush in the nation rightfully so. Sutton 13.5 sacks missed 2 games. Bradford 11.5 sacks. Taylor Kelly 8th most efficent qb you will see in a couple of weeks.

No our offense is okay. Defense has me more worried right now. But that is certainly a lose able game for us. Provided the sun devils aren't shell shocked from Oregon.
