As said before, the offense has looked good. 28 points on the board and a couple missed field goals. I feel a little better about Rees than I did before kick off.

That just seemed like an unsatisfying win. Team seemed to disappear for stretches like when Dayne Crist was qb. Defense was lackluster and Brian Kelly was lying his a$$ off to Alex Flanigan when he said special teams were ok. Verdict they have a lot of work to do for next week and if they want to come close to duplicating last years success.

We play special teams like we have the last 3+ yrs (again today) ... good luck against the Michigan teams. Absolute lackluster win against a rookie coach and a baseball pitcher that has never, EVER taken a college football snap in his life, until today. I'm not impressed ...

Exactly what I'm feeling. I'm not sure if it was the fact that we just aren't that good or Kelly not wanting to show a lot before the acUM game. I'm starting lean towards the former. We scored one fuggin TD on the 2nd half. One!!! That was the time we needed to stomp on their throats. But nope, Kelly decides to simply keep running up the middle and punting.
I didn't have crazy high expectations coming in to this season, so I guess I shouldn't be as upset as I am. But cheese and rice, it's fuggin Temple we're playing. Better teams are gonna show us what's up this year.
I wish Kelly would learn to put the pedal to the metal and blow teams out? Ugh, simply frustrating.
