How far do you see the Hawkeyes advancing? I think that Iowa will be too long and physical for Davidson, Iowa 82-76. Next round it will probably be vs the Zags, Zags choke again, Iowa 87-72. The next round prediction to come this weekend. Go Hawks!!

I think Iowa can beat anyone and can lose to anyone. But I think that loss to PSU stung a little and hopefully this week they've shored up that zone offense and can figure out how to score. I say Iowa to the Elite Eight this year.

Davidson will be a tough game for Iowa. Hopefully, Iowa puts two strong halves together with a lot of points. Iowa's length should be a factor. Iowa wins in a close game and then falls to Gonzaga. Gonzaga is too good and the match-ups favor Gonzaga at all positions.

My bracket has us beating Davidson and Gonzaga and then losing in the sweet 16 to the Clowns. Hope I'm right with the 1st 2 predictions and wrong about the S16, but ISU has our number...

Hoops, how can you say that Gonzaga has us out matched at every position??? I watched them play last night, and I would say that Iowa has better personnel at 4 of 5 positions..

Karnowski is huge and will easily post up Woodbury and Olesani (foul trouble for both)
Wiltjer/Sabonis will cause a lot of problems for White when White is on defense (White disappears with physcial play)
Pangos is better that Gesell (no contest)
Bell/Wesley play better defense than Jok is right now (no contest)

Uthoff is our only advantage position.

But it is March Madness. Gonzaga had to work against NDSU - agreed. Iowa didn't have to work as much to beat Davidson. Gonzaga has the better offense and Iowa tends to struggle playing two quality halves of basketball this season. As well as Iowa shot the ball against Davidson, I'm thinking Iowa struggles to score tomorrow.

But it's March Madness!!!

Congrats to the Hawkeyes for a better season this year. Fran continues to build the program. Congrats to the Seniors for all of their efforts.

Gonzaga was a very tough opponent and much should be learned from that game for Iowa's returning players to build off of. Toughness, speed, and consistency were all on display by Gonzaga. Making strides in those areas will be the next step for Fran's program.
