Can wild card picks be traded. If someone uses their WC picks early and gets stuck?

At a high value of course  :dhd:

I don't see trade restrictions at all but if you do trade a teammate they have to be a teammate of your before and after picks unless it is a WC pick

Intent of the 1 season was 1 game essentially. It's too hard to determine what a season constitutes. As long as they were teammates on the same team for a game it should count.

One game constitutes a season together. Too late to expand

But correct me if I am wrong...they had to play one game in 1977 through 2007. So if a player ended his career in 1977 he is eligible?

Correct, if the player retired in 76 he is NI, if he played in 77 and played with someone that year, he is good

I think we got everything straightened out. Just to be clear no trade restrictions but:

**If you trade a teammate he had to still be a teammate of the pick before AND after unless you use one of those picks as a WC, then they would just have to be a teammate of the non-WC pick.

Then if you trade a WC pick that player had to still be a teammate of your next pick.

So again 2nd player has to have played for multiple teams?

Sorry just saw this and wanted to clarify.

The rule is you cannot select MORE than two consecutive picks from the same franchise in a row. So while your second pick fits this restriction, the later picks actually have a bit more leeway to them. For example:

1st pick - Lakers
2nd pick - Lakers teammate
3rd pick - Celtics teammate (2nd pick and 3rd pick played with each other on the Celtics)
4th pick - Celtics teammate (3rd pick and 4th pick played with each other on the Celtics)

In this scenario, your 5th pick would have to be with another franchise.

Just wanted to clarify that you don't need to keep using a different franchise pairing for each pick. Just no more than 2 in a row.

So, if we are in the 8th round and I trade the guy I picked in the 2nd round, the player I get back has to have been a teammate of the guy I drafted in the 1st and 3rd rounds or it costs me a WC pick?

And I am assuming that Olympic teams do not count for teammates.

Yes like I said your 2nd pick will have to have played for multiple teams so your 3rd pick can be picked UNLESS a WC is used

No Milk LOL

It was a legitimate question and in fact I’ll add to the milk question what about teammates in college, doesn’t say player had to be teammates in NBA but just teammates or even played basketball at all. So what I’m saying is I’m taking Bo Jackson because he was 6 degrees of Kevin bacon. :martini:
