I just don’t think @The Q watches a ton of high school basketball these days. If he did, like most fans, stall ball would frustrate the hell out of him.

Incredibly there are people who think it's the way the game should be played

Not coincidentally all of those people reside in towns with a population under 5000

Finally a great move. Getting Sneed for a 3rd round pick next year and what's sounding like will be under 20 mil per year is a steal

I’m wondering why the chiefs didn’t just keep him if his contract is that cheap

I guess they figure they need the cap elsewhere. Based on their actions, they went into the offseason to pick Jones over Sneed (obvious call btw) and would only keep Sneed if no other team wanted him. I guess they figure they can piece together a good enough secondary and still use the cash to boost other areas.

Who told NCAA it is a smart idea to have a 10:45 AM local time game tomorrow in Salt Laker City? Not sure why you would have Arizona playing at that time in that location as well

It is so bad.

When I used to coach the really good team, there was a team in our league that would try to play the stall game for the entire game.

And they were good at it.

They would run dribble weave near half court until you fell asleep or get too aggressive trying to trap up top.

One year, the halftime score was 4-2. We had 4 possessions.

So stupid.

If you missed a couple shots early and failed to take the lead you were up against 32 minutes of keep away.

Wow! I’ve never seen it that bad but I especially see this when the schools where I teach go play outside of the league. The Philly Catholic League is a great league and our schools can recruit (not necessarily scholarship) so when we go outside the league teams abuse the lack of a shot clock. Worst I saw was a team like the one you describe who is really good at that stall ball tactic turning the last 3:45 of the quarter into a final possession.

I don't know how any coach can leave a game with his head high after that

Probably address CB in the draft.

Well, in the case I mentioned above, we ended up losing that one something like 24 - 18 against a team we were far better than.

I am not sure there was another tactic they could have used to beat us.

But in the second half we tried to get more aggressive and trap the ball whenever we could. Gave up a couple back door layups and just were never able to take control of the game.

Played them at home later that season, scored our first 3 possessions and forced a couple turnovers. They couldn’t stall and we won by 30+.
