Makes sense

Mich st isn’t good

ESP since they probably can’t foul every possession against a team who gets calls like unc
Yea I was surprised by the low number. Thought would have been 6 or 7

It was funny to see Kentucky lose so early. Coach Cal hasn't had alotta March Madness success lately.
He recruits better talent but because he has all that talent he might make Holtman look like a decent gameday coach.

His lack of tourney success recently doesn't make alotta sense. He recruits the top talent in the country.

pieces need to fit together as well.

He tended to lack shooting for a while and that was why he made Grady a priority (for example)

It kind of does though.

He is playing a bunch of freshmen against a team full of juniors and seniors. From a talent perspective, UK is players who will play basketball for a living against a team of guys whose only basketball future will be as agents for UK's players.

But right now, in this tournament...it was 22-23 year olds playing 18-19 year olds and in a close, win or go home tournament game, experience often wins out over talent.

Damn good point about how young his teams usually are. Didn't even take that into consideration when I made that comment.

Yeah, seems he'll need to either change how he builds his teams and bring in some veteran guys or hope that NIL encourages some of his recruits to stick around for more than 1 year.

As I believe Stakes and/or The Q mentioned, he worries too much about making sure everyone gets their minutes to keep guys happy, which can lead to weird rotations. So, he may need to start stepping on some egos too.
