Rondo doesn't get injured and we're likely talking another 1st round exit for the Celtics. Having said that, a lot of these guys on your roster are due for big pay days. You guys have a lot of questions coming your way and fast.

Not really. I think the questions will more come next summer. The biggest free agent this summer is Kelly who is a RFA. Now next year will be interesting. Avery and IT are both UFA and Smart is a RFA

Yeah they were so good they couldn't even make the playoffs. :heh:

The Eastern Conf. sucks.

But a team that didn't even make the EC playoffs could have knocked off a Superteam ?

When compared to the early 2000s? THe current Celtics and Raptors would have been right there with the Nets and Sixers. The East was extremely weak back then.

Having one great team is better than having 0.

I think the argument here is semantical. But in 2001 and 2002, the West Finals was the NBA Finals. It was widely known that the East champ had no chance. If you take LeBron away, the current generation of East would be about the same. But, LeBron is there and healthy. So, I am not sure how anyone can say the East isn't better now.

Because 1 team doesn't make the whole conference better. It just means there's one good team and a bunch of dregs. The Cavs being good doesn't improve any other team in the conference.

the first season the Cavs were considered a lock to come out of the East?

Yes, they were.

the Cavs were 19-20 at one point-

And if the season were 39 games long, you might have a point. But it's 82 games long, so you don't. The Eastern Conference sucked and everyone knew that whichever team Lebron went to, the Cavs or the Heat, they were going to the finals. Especially with the moves that were made along with bringing back Lebron.

Shaq said Lebron is a mixture of himself, MJ and Magic. Wow

So a team that didn't even make the playoffs would have beaten the Cavs twice? I doubt it.

I don't.

And if you're only saying that nonsense because the Heat won the season series all you have to do is go back to last year.

What you're forgetting is that the Heat went 30-11 over the last half of the season. Had they not lost Waiters, that record is likely to be even better. They would have gone into the playoffs with some serious momentum.

I don't see them beating the Cavs and neither did anyone else. But, I think they definitely would have made them work harder than pretty much any of the teams they faced. I think they'd have won at least 1 and possibly 2 games.

They also wouldn't have been beaten by a combined 90 points at home and probably would have actually had a lead at home at some point.

I mean if you just won a ring would you think you are underdogs. I would rather him say this than the opposite. I'm actually really glad they are underdogs, I usually like that better but who doesnt

I would prefer him to keep his opinions to himself.

Derrick Williams
PF / Cleveland (Role: Garbage-time dunk artist)
Rank: 28

Derrick Williams was drafted higher than Tristan Thompson , as a reminder of how funny the draft can be in retrospect

Didn't @WiggyRuss say this would be a playoff rotation player?

honestly- if you were making an NBA player in a lab- it would be LeBron James.

Have the lab leave his hair and take his vocal acrobatics.

I'd love to be able to read your posts about him when he announced he was leaving.

Mine posts were...I knew he was leaving and I am not surprised. They didnt put anything around him or to even work with. Still have his old jerseys. Nothing is burned up in here lol
