I agree, I think GS will start to hit some rough times, not by losing the core stars, but when their depth starts getting hit...Like when some team offers big money to an Iggy or a Livingston, and guys like that, usually the dynasties start to crumble when the really good depth gets thinner

But agree, thats not for a few years

Livingston's under contract for 2 more years until he's 34/35. Iggy's under contract until he's 36. Neither are garnering big money and will likely retire at that point.

The real guys to watch out for are McCaw, Cook and Bell and see how they develop. But like you said, that's not for a few years.

I still remember his posts about how Lebron's going to do so much better with Cleveland than he did with Miami. By his definition, Cleveland was a super team.
Since when did you believe anything Wiggy has to say?

Only after he convinces Gilbert he'll only stay if they trade their draft pick right now for Shabazz Napier, then leaves in the offseason. Then the Cavs will be locked into Cap hell for the next few years having to pay monstrous contracts to Lebron's friends and Lebron gets to chase rings elsewhere.

Even worse than that.

He makes it known that he will resign, but only if Gilbert agrees to sell the team.

That way, it will be up to Gilbert whether LeBron leaves or he does.

Golden State doesn't have much depth even now. Imagine if they do get some depth next year. They're bench is complete trash, among the worst in the league. A bench upgrade we'lll probably make them unbeatable for at least another 2 seasons. Maybe 3.

Heat were a super team because Bosh was so much better than Love IMO.

I also don't like judging superteams by # of all stars.

A few years ago the 60+ win Hawks team had 3 or 4 all stars if I remember correctly.

Were they a superteam?

A team doesn't have to be successful to be a super team.

Heck, the failed super teams are more fun because we get to mock them.

My definition of a superteam is 2 top 10 players and another player who is top 20-25.

IMO, Kyrie was never a top 10 player in Cleveland.

Wade was a top 10 player IMO in the first 2 years of the big 3 in Miami.

I don't think they were a superteam in year 3 or 4.
hmmmm....i dunno if i totally agree with you but your post on super teams is the post that i have seen that i agree with the most.

It could just be me, I just never saw the Bosh and Love versions that played with Lebron as great players,

That's because when you put together 3 players like that, someone has to sacrifice more than the other 2 in order for it to work. In Miami, that was always going to be Bosh and in Cleveland it was always going to be Love.

In their own way, both are every bit as responsible for the success of their teams as the main two, because if they refuse to take a back seat, the whole thing falls apart.

All i remember was bashing Bosh for his refusal to go near the basket as a Heat player

Just hanging by that 3 point line

I dunno, i just saw Bosh much like i see Love today, good, but not great

Bosh was a much better defender.

On paper they have 3 all stars, one of which is/was Lebron. That's a super team. Just like the Heat were considered a super team. Golden St. just updated the term when they added Durant.

agreed...

essentially you could've called the Cavs "Superteam lite"...

he should have...never would have been flat out wrong on so many things...lol

Such bullshit.
You constantly sit on both sides of the fence, or totally switch your opinions based on after the fact results.

Perfect example was what I reposted a few days ago about you saying James needed to do less when he was on the Heat, vs now he loves doing more because hes forced to on the Cavs.

it is funny to hear certain people rip on Love and then in the next sentence say the Cavs are a super team like some people have (not you).,

It would have been hard for me to call the Cavs a super team their first year since Kyrie and Love were 22 and 26 respectively and had never seen a playoff game, had never won anything--- they were talented but had never really accomplsihed anything but some individual accolodas. Neither of them knew how to win--- and ESPECIALLY when that season started before they traded for JR, Shumpert, Mozgov- the rest of the roster was pretty dirty.

74-8 breaking the Bulls record and sweeping through the playoffs year 1...

guess they didn't quite hit the bar he set...

Warriors raised the bar, but James set it.
Having the best player in the league recruiting 2 other supposed stars and handpicking other role players to compliment him would be my definition.
