He declined. Steph Curry could be in the 3 point contest every year for his career, because he's a superstar and they always want superstars in the events. He wanted a year off. Klay said he actually gave him a bit of shit about not being in it too. He wanted them to go head to head again for the rubber match.

Steph won the year before Klay. So it could have been Klay vs Steph potentially for the tie breaker in the 3rd consecutive season.

KI won his in 2013. Bellineli won in 2014
