Isn't Andre Ware the Houston choice? His failure is already established

Ware is perhaps a better choice, since he won the Heisman and was a first-round pick before failing in the NFL. The way that the thread title is worded, however, is why I chose Keenum. Specifically, I hadn't yet attended UH when Ware played, so I didn't really consider it "my school" then, nor did I really have any expectations for Ware in the NFL.

On the other hand, when Keenum signed as an UFA with the Texans, I thought that he would be a good fit to run those bootlegs and other play action passes that are so prominent in Kubiak's WCO. Maybe he still will, but I'm kind of discouraged by his past two games against Oakland and Jacksonville, following a couple of pretty good performances against KC and Indy.
