Besides scoring more points or the turnover battle which are obvious.

My #1 is to play press coverage on their WR's/TE's all game long. I don't even believe we
need to play any zone just to mix it up or disguise. Disguise blitzes but not pass D.

After watching the Niner's game vs the Saints, Kaep was weak against press coverage and when the
Saints went to a zone or gave a 5 yd buffer, I was saying, what are you doing Rob?
Kaep was only effective vs the zone and did squat against press. (Hawks vs Vikes and 9er's vs Saints were on side by side montster screens with another delay on 9ers for replays).

I bet 80% of Kaep's 115 net yds, 115 yds passing :L were on zone. He hit Boldin a cple back shoulder throws, otherwise, a free release was the only way Kaep was effective.

Sherman, Maxwell, Lane and KJ can handle the task allowing us to pound him with run/pass blitzes.

I'm not worried about Gore at all. Since their bye week. Gore is:

16 c for 82 yds vs Carolina
13 c for 48 yds vs Saints
13 c for 31 yds vs Skins
15 c for 42 yds vs Rams

Jam & Press coverage all game and force Kaep to wait for his receivers to get open as he goes through his reads. If Kaep makes the plays to beat us, then kudos. He won't.

Hawks may not put a beatdown on 'em but will pull out the W.

Your #1 key to Victory? :noidea:

Biggest key for me is pressure on Kaep due to Staley and Iupati being out. Send stunts and late LB blitzes to confuse the replacements.

Pressure or sacks early. Get Keap thinking about the pressure and you will see him look at his first read than try to take off. So A-2 would be maintaining your area so he can't run up the middle or take off.

:agree: This…. Kaep hasn't responded well to pressure and it's one thing that stands out as a big weakness for him… Both games where he's faced Seattle he's been pressure well… On offense Lynch seems to have good games vs the Niners D… Pound it on um and let Russ take his shots when needed…

I don't really think any specific plan or strategy is needed. The Seahawks are a better team on both sides of the ball. Hawks win by at least two TDs.

I think the Seahawks are the better team too. If they avoid dumb penalties, turnovers and missed assignments, they should win.

All things considered, if we establish the run game we will win. Everything else falls into place when we get Marshawn running.

And big road grader Carp is getting the start at LG this week. I think they are still rotating McQ in, but maybe that is the message being sent to SF and the Smith bros. Heavy doses of Okung, Carp, MRob and Lynch.

All the Seahawks have to do is play their game and all of the above will be answered.

I hope we get an early lead and for the niners into a LOT of passing downs. If that happens, easy win

I dont think we have to pressure krapernick that much, just play man on his receivers and keep contain on him. If Davis is covered and his other slow WRs cant get separation he is either going to attempt to run, in which case our LBs take him down quickly, or he will make a stupid throw.

We need to keep up the play action out of the I. I don't know the #'s but I'd bet that Wilson's #'s are pretty ridiculous out of that formation. And no more spreads with Wilson alone out of the gun.

Kap has been struggling. I think teams have learned to contain him, and in a sense force him to be a pocket passer. I don't think he has learned how to check his progressions as well as he should, he seems to stare down his receivers too often. I think Kap will be keying in on getting the ball to Crabtree a lot, so it will be interesting to see if the Seahawks double team him. I really don't see the 49ers sticking around in this game too long.

So has Gore. SF Oline is suspect going into this game. Shutdown the SF run game and force Kaep to throw bullets over the heads of his receivers all game long.

What i would do...........

1) Tell Wright and Irvin to stay put. IF Kap moves to their side. Boom Shot at full speed.

2) Find the leak. If their O-Line is leakly. Find the Problem and expose it.

3) Time is money. Give RW3 time to find his guy. That 9ers rush is scary

4) Thomas and Chancellor incorperated (sp) need to have a chat 5 minutes before KO to talk about who is covering VD.

5) Let LOB be the LOB

Staley will play tomorrow FYI.

Like SO said press coverage will be the biggest factor as that's really what killed the 9ers in their first match up this season. Because at lot of the reason Seattle was able to get pressure and Kap struggled is they were able to press the WR which throws off timing and didn't leave much for Kap to throw to.

Tomorrow is a bit different though since Crabtree and Mannigham bring more talent to the table compared to the week 2 game which will put more stress on the Seattle's secondary. Crabtree is the biggest help because now the 9ers have a viable 3rd option whereas before all you really had to worry about was VD. Boldin is a stud but he's not a guy that's going to beat DBs and does his best work when he's matched up 1 on 1 against lesser DBs where he can out fight them for balls.

Gore's numbers dropping I don't believe is a case of him not running well or the offensive line's blocking but mostly due to defense investing heavily in stopping the run and forcing the Kap to beat them.

Gore will still be a legitimate threat if you're not invested in stopping him which flips back to the press coverage and why it's key because if you invest in stopping Gore the 9ers are going to try to pass around it.
