I thought the Vikings did well. I like what the Rams did. Not to sure the falcons were wise to trade up for trufant even though I'm a Husky fan. Dallas OMG Jerry Jones just needs to step a side from the front office,

Bills Mmmmm I'm not seeing their pick working out, but at least they moved down to do it.

49ers solid pick, a need pick, but couldn't they have gotten the same player with out moving up.

Come on guys! Time to jump in and give some opinions!

I actually really liked what the Falcons did.

Early on in Desmond Trufant's career I was not all that enthusiastic about his ability but over time he won me over.

Before the senior bowl I thought he looked like a 2nd round pick but his performance in the senior bowl in the 1 on 1 drills was just incredible. Not to mention he ran a 4.38 I believe (Which was a lot better than I expected) and had a 40 inch vertical I believe.

I think he projects a lot like his brother, I feel like Desmond Trufant was a good pick.

I also feel like the Raiders made a really stupid choice to trade down.

IMO this was a draft that had very few "elite talents" and I felt like Dion Jordan was one of those few elite talents. Basically the Raiders traded Dion Jordan for D.J. Hayden and a 2nd round pick, which I think was really foolish.

Great move by the Dolphins to trade up and acquire an elite talent like Dion Jordan. I just feel like the difference in talent this year from #3 to #12 was just too great to make that trade. If it was a different talent pool it would be a solid move but this year I just can't justify it because of the huge talent drop this year from #3 to #12.

I think the Rams did really well with all their picks. The 49ers got two really good players so far to address their biggest needs, and now have 4 3rd round picks next year, one of which may turn into a 2nd round pick if Alex Smith and the Chiefs do well. They are setting themselves up well to restock their roster with really good young cheap players.

Props to the 49ers for building up all those picks. You guys better hope Colin Kaepernick gets hurt so you can turn Colt McCoy into the next Alex Smith. Aka another high 2nd rounder.

Well the Raiders did what they usually do. Which is swing and miss. However I like the concept of moving down to pick up more picks. They need soo much...

Not sure I agree about Dion Jordan. Time will tell.

As for Trufant....I just don't see him worth moving up and this is from a Husky fan.

Completely agree on that Harold. Little Tru is a clone of his brother and I see his career turning out about the same. Neither is great in coverage but both are physical and are amazing at tackling in open space. Personally, middle Trufant seems to be the best cover corner out the brothers.

I'd have to say the Vikings were the big winners of round 1. when you can get 3 quality players in the first 32, that's good drafting and moving around by their FO. The big head scratcher for me was the Dallas pick. i might be wrong but it sounded like he was a third round projection. not sure why jerry gambled a first when they could have had him in the second.

Using 6 different centers last season might have something to do with it. Still seems like a dumb move, but obviously they felt that was a major weakness and didn't want to take chances on not having a guy they project as a rookie starter.

I guess desperation at that position will make you reach.
