My B1G Power Rankings after week 5

1) Michigan State (3-1, 0-0) - Led 2 quarters vs Oregon and dominated since. Bye doesn't hurt them
2) Nebraska (5-0, 1-0) - Dominating Illinois despite the score. Only undefeated B1G team
3) Wisconsin (3-1, 0-0) - May have looked good vs LSU a few weeks ago, but drops due to struggle vs USF
4) Ohio State (3-1, 0-0) - I don't think I can put them lower and definitely not higher
5) Minnesota (4-1, 1-0) - Dominant victory over Michigan in the Big House as underdogs
6) Maryland (4-1, 1-0) - Won at Indiana, who had B1G's biggest win last week. Strong last few weeks
7) Iowa (4-1, 1-0) - Defense dominated, offense took a while to get going, but was against B1G foe Purdue
9) Penn State (4-1, 0-1) - Not only lost to the team that has played the worst, got dominated. Ouch
10) Rutgers (4-1, 0-1) - Dominated Tulane but I don't think I can put them higher. L to PSU 2 weeks ago
11) Indiana (2-2, 0-1) - Dominated by Maryland at home a week after beating Mizzou. on road Lost 2 of last 3.
12) Northwestern (2-2, 1-0) - I'll give them props, they knocked off undefeated PSU at Beaver Stadium
13) Illinois (3-2, 0-1) - Dominated by Nebraska. Dropped 2 of last 3 by a bunch, but tough opponents
14) Michigan (2-3, 0-1) - Last 4 games, Michigan has gone 1-3 and was outscored 97-48 (included 34-10 win over Miami (OH)

Purdue over Michigan if for no other reason than to complete the shame. The fact that Ohio State is still 4th speaks volumes about the conference.

Can't argue with the rankings at this point. Will say that the Buckeyes are looking better with each week they play. Got to get better in the secondary before the Maryland game. Could get real interesting and it might have been premature to rule them out of getting to the B10 Championship game.
