I'm honestly pretty shocked Miss St traveled to BYU. Miss St is one of the schools that was the reason the SEC had to add the P5 school rule. I guess BYU counts towards that.

I'm honestly pretty shocked Miss St traveled to BYU. Miss St is one of the schools that was the reason the SEC had to add the P5 school rule. I guess BYU counts towards that.

They travelled to UMass, too. SEC teams shouldn't have to travel to UMASS to get a game.

Mullens has played the weakest possible schedules he could get away with. Jackson St. Alcorn St Miss Valley St. South Alabama (oops), Samford, UMASS, UT Martin. There is no end to it. They also have played incredibly weak SEC East teams for years, Ky/Vandy, Ky/SC, Ky/Missouri, then around again. They seem to never play decent SEC East teams.

This has resulted in a "smoke and mirrors" success for Dan. With 4 complete cupcakes and KY/Vandy, they have had 6 auto wins every year. They could go 2-4 against the rest and get a good bowl.

The truth about Dan is that, in 7 1/2 years, he has beaten only 2 teams that finished the season ranked. He was 2-29 against those teams before this season and will likely be 2-34 or so soon. He has only 1 win over an SEC team that finished the season above .500 in conference play. Ark when they went 5-3 one year.

This is why he hasn't been able to get the Miami job (twice) or Penn St. or Georgia or all those others he has gone after. His record doesn't support a $5 million job.

Watching 'ol Taysum Hill last night. He's playing with one dead leg, a big knee brace, had many other injuries, but still out there stiff-arming guys to the turf.

Admire his toughness, that's for sure. But he's got about half the speed and elusiveness he had earlier in his career. He does pass better now though. But damn he's a tough dude.
