They said on CFB Live that Miss Stake had their first road win over a Power 5 team in 23 years after they beat what seems to be a very sorry K State team last Saturday. Damn. That absolutely blows my mind.

No disrespect meant towards them either. That’s a highly talented team and I expect them to do some damage this season. What a crazy stat that is though.

List on your hands and feet the times a team from the SEC has played an OOC non-bowl game at another school West of the Mississippi. Use whatever time frame you wish.

LSU and Georgia went out to Arizona State recently and both won (Big10 is 0-10 at Arizona State)
LSU also went to Arizona and Washington and won both games

Tennessee has been to Cal, UCLA, Oregon, and Oklahoma but lost all of those games. Granted TN has lost to a lot of people lately.

Missouri went to BYU and won. Texas A&M has traveled to UCLA.

Georgia went to Colorado and Oklahoma State and lost.

All of these games took place over last 10 years. That is just off the top of my head, I imagine there is a lot more.

only half are away.

Since the inception of the BCS Miss St has only played a grand
total of 10 games vs P5 teams in the last 20 years. Half being
home games.

It is very difficult to lose or win a P5 road game if you don't

I'd have to look at past schedules but they may not have played very man P5 teams on the road. They must have been desperate to agree to a game in Manhattan.

P5s want all home OOC games and usually get 'em if they are willing to fork over the cash.
