Been seeing the commercials for it for a while and it looked like something I would watch. Caught the series premier the other night and I gotta say I think it's going to be really good. Has really good ratings too.

I caught the premier the other night too...the show served as an equally compelling and disturbing reminder of how far behind the times I am.

I saw the premier, and the whole time, all I could think of was Fight Club.

It definitely has the feel that there will be that type of twist eventually.

It's intriguing so far but it gets pretty cheesy at times with its "the 1% of the 1% control us all" stuff. I mean "Evil" Corp with the Enron logo?

Yup... take the first half-hour of the film The Matrix, and combine it with Fight Club, and you pretty much have the flavor/feel of the premiere episode of Mr. Robot. The dudes in the black suits & ties from Mr. Robot had me thinking of the Agents from The Matrix.

This show has potential.

Are we supposed to know this is a Fight Club thing, or not?

Is the viewer supposed to know, just waiting for Elliot to figure it out? Or is this just a really badly disguised story-technique?

I only have two complaints so far. One is that the evil corporation in it is called evil corp. The other is that I could easily see this being a fight club thing as everyone else is pointing out. The only problem is they can't do the schizo thing for more than one season.

Good show so far, just can't tell if "Evil Corp" is trying to make fun of "Dell, Enron, or just "big business" in general

Another theory I was kinda thinking of, and saw others commenting on as well...

The "therapist" is actually his mother, and Mr Robot is in the image of his father.

Do we know, for fact, that the "therapist" is actually supposed to be a therapist? Was that spelled out in a no-doubt fashion in E1?

I also still haven't figured out if Mr Robot is actually real or not. Like Fight Club as everyone is mentioning. I mean in one scene it eluded to it when he went to the fairgrounds and the inside was completely empty.

I was wondering this as well. Wasnt it referred as "E-Corp" in E1? I think it has only been called "Evil-Corp" when he is in dream-sequences (the job offer, discussions with Mr Robot, etc)

I'm pretty sure it was. And it only is "refereed" as "Evil Corp" when he "spaces out."
