At UW, word working its way through the coaches tonight is that Woodward is meeting with Jim Mora. Expect a yes or no soon (prob tomorrow)

This is the least surprising thing that happened today.

That would include the Sun rising in the east.

I am surprised it even took 24 hours.

Come on, Mora!!! Please anyone but Narduzzi. Nobody wants that guy for their head coach. He just isn't a good recruitter or something. Plus he rides a motorcycle with volleyball playing mistress or something.

HEY LOOK, THERE'S JOHN GRUDEN!!!!

*Shoves Narduzzi in the coordinator box while no one is looking

Why are you so worried about losing Narduzzi? Last time I check your head coach has quite the defensive background. Do you honestly believe Narduzzi is the reason your defense is so good? I guess Kirby Smart is the reason for Bama's success on defense too...

Or Nick Holt was the reason for USC being good on defense...

haha. Narduzzi would be awesome. The one thing about him is he might use his first HC job as a stepping stone to a better program like Texas.

Most UW fans want the career coach in the model of Don James. Outside of me and one other UW poster no one is talking about Pat to UW. :bawling:

Mora needs to get out of UCLA on the first thing smoking......it's just not a good job, especially right now. I don't know if UW is any better......but if it is a better situation than UCLA he should jump ship IMMEDIATELY

Dantonio is great, but I don't know how much longer he is going to be here considering considering he is 57. If Dantonio retires in the next 3-4 years I want Narduzzi as his replacement.

Not too worried about Mora leaving UCLA. He had a meetings with Joe Mixon (big time recruit) from the Bay Area (while Husky sites were reporting Mora was in Seattle). Today Mixon released his top four schools and UCLA was on the list and UW had been cut. This tells me Mora assured him that Mora is staying at UCLA. You can't look at a recruit and tell him you're going to stay at UCLA and then go to UW without losing him. I think without being lied to Mixon would have considered UW with Mora coaching there.

Also, Mora fired the RB coach at UCLA yesterday. You don't fire a guy if you are about to leave, I think.

Finally, next year is UCLA's year if Hundley comes back. The team is mostly freshmen and sophomores at this point. I think they have a great shot at the playoffs.

Anything is possible in the world of college football coaching, but I'm confident Mora will coach UCLA next season.

Mora would be nuts to leave LA for UDud

So yeah he probably will

Not sure how you figure that. UCLA is a state school in a broke state. He can't pay his assistants top coin, so he won't be keeping many of them. Its just not a top job right now. I don't know how things are at UW, but I'm willing to bet financially it's a better job.

This isn't true. California actually ran a surplus last year.

UCLA is also building a new $50 million on campus football only facility (donor funded). With lots of money rolling in from the PAC 12 UCLA can afford to pay coaches more and assistants too. Finally the UCLA donors have really stepped up because they are excited about the direction of the football program and are contributing a ton.
