If I have no clue what you are talking about I should probably sit out this draft

So if that’s what determines if you are in and out of the drafts wouldn’t you always be out then?

I would be down for skipping basketball/hockey and doing a unique extra long baseball draft. Maybe one where we do two lineups and two rotations. Add in some restrictions...

Ok. We draft 2 teams.

9 positions players per lineup = 18
2 rotations = 10
5 relief pitchers per = 10

One lineup has to be an all American League and all National League. To qualify a player had to play 3 full seasons in a league or 500 games. So a player could qualify for both leagues.

Years 1890-2000

Kicker: You can only have a max number of 12 HOFrs total out of your 38 players.
No restrictions on how you divide them up. (10 on one team, 2 on another, etc.)

RP 50% of games.
SP 50% of games.

Position requirements: 162 games at a position to qualify.

Voting on teams is where would have to decide..

Two separate playoffs? Or what?

We have done an American League and a National League draft... I like the idea of a 48 player baseball draft though...

I just don’t want to do a 48 player roster where basically the starters are going to be the only players looked at. We don’t have to do AL and NL but some sort of draft where we aren’t just picking scrubs at the end to fill out our rosters...

I like this, I like the 1890-2000, I like the 48 players, not big on the AL/NL or the HOF restrictions.
One thing we could consider is after you have drafted your 48, you must cut down to one 24 man team...and none of your cuts can be added to other teams. This does a couple of things IMO, it adds a lot of strategy on when you fill certain positions and it would make for some blockbuster trades
