I say we scrap the switching teams idea and save it for another draft. We do the first 4 (or 6 or whatever) rounds secretly, like we did the last NBA draft. Maybe do like 8 or 10 rounds in that case, since there is a chance we can end up with only 1 or 2 players. Anyway, after however many rounds we decide to it be, we stop the draft and pick a random order. Whoever gets #1 has the option of keeping their team or trading it in. If they trade it in, they name an owner and they switch teams. Then, #2 has the option, then #3 and so on. Then, we start the draft again with the set order (which would be known before we start secret picking) by filling in with players taken. When we get to a blank (a team with fewer players), they will get to pick from the remaining players. We do this until all the teams have the same amount of players, then proceed as normal.

You can take 1 player from another team but have to replace him with someone from your team. Basically swapping players (Doesn't have to be of same position). No take backs. If someone takes Bo Jackson from you, you can’t take him back with your swap later.

Protected players: RD1-RD4 (Can’t take anyone drafted in these RDS)

Free Agents: Players drafted in RD 5-RD 10 (Players drafted in these RDS are eligible to be selected)

You can start swapping players in RD 11 – RD 13 (There for the back of the draft drafters get first or last chance of swaps)

You take 12 for offense & 12 for defense. All up to you on positions. Year restrictions will be determined.

It just seems like this is going to be a circle jerk and the people that pick first when trading will get the best available, basically like bad trades. Idk what I think about this

1) You only get 1 switch not a on going thing
2) I made it so people with the last pick have the first or last chance to make a swap (RD11-13) Maybe Math is off and needs to be RD 12-14
3) It’s early enough that you can still build a team around that 1 player you got from someone and recover from the player you lost.

Once again it’s only 1 player switch and I guess you don’t have to switch if you don’t want to.
