The games need to be shorter for the life of the sport but thats just a dumb idea. Start by strictly enforcing the pitch clock and lets work from there

The only changes I'm in favor of are...

1.) Starting the season a week earlier to allow for an extra two days off for Spring Break and five other off-days.
2.) Stop inter-league play FOREVER.

#2 can never happen unless they change a team league so the leagues can go back to having 16 and 14 teams instead of an even 15.

I actually don't mind it but I do think they need to have a universal rule on P/DH. Decide if you want both leagues to have a DH or not. It is dumb that one league have a DH and the other does not

Agreed about the DH/P thing.

Make both leagues have a DH. Nobody wants to watch the goddamn pitcher bat anyways. We want to see him toss up zero's not kill his own teams rally's

Shortening the game is foolish but I would be in favor of shortening the season.

162 games then a thousand playoff rounds is just too long.

Let's start with a 154 game season. Having the playoffs start in Oct and not end til around Halloween.. doesn't feel right.

Compared the other sports that has playoffs series the baseball post-season is really short. The NBA & NHL playoffs are about 2 months long

Basketball starts up in late October and ends well into June. It's like 8 months. Baseball is more like 7 months.

So it's actually longer and definitely not half as long.

162/2= 81

We clearly have a very different idea of what it is to be "close".
