6 of the 7 B1G West teams have finished a season from 2014-2021 with votes in the EOS AP poll or more specifically a Top 30 finish.
SEC East can make the same claim.

The B1G West has produced 26 teams who finished their season with votes in the EOS AP poll, 2014-2021. 23 during non-covid affected seasons.
The SEC East has produced 23 teams who finished their season with votes in the EOS AP poll, 2014-2021. 19 during non-covid affected seasons.

Both produced 13 EOS AP Top 25 ranked teams, 2014-2021.

4 of the 7 B1G West teams have finished a season from 2014-2021 with an EOS Top 10 finish. SEC East has only had 2 teams finish in the Top 10.

How many BIG titles

Some day the West will win the BIG title. It hasn't happened in a decade though
Most likely won't happen this year, either. Need a team like Minnesota to have a great year like it's having, the same year OSU is struggling. Put this year's Gopher squad up against 2021's schedule and they probably go 12-0 and give Michigan a better game than Iowa gave them.

You're just setting yourself up for a letdown man.

The whole SEC East BiG west argument hinges on the fact historically Florida, Tennessee and Georgia are better than anything the BIG west has. Yes there is Nebraska but no one thinks they will ever be that again. Wisconsin was on the path to being better than UF and the Vols (and they have been over the last decade plus).but now they're sliding again.

The point is save Wisconsin no team has been a consistent threat to the top 3 teams in the BIG east (and nearly 4 until MSU struggles of late) so the BIG is very lopsided.

Hopefully they do away with divisions anyway and we can stop this argument

LOL, no. Minnesota would get rolled by tOSU this year, just like they did last year.

Oh, you are probably right, my optimism in regards to the B1G West was based on improving recruiting rankings for 6 of the 7 teams, and a bunch of promising new coaches combined with proven coaches in Kirk F and Fitz and everyone assumed whoever took over at Wisconsin would pick up where his predecessor left off.

But Frost did not deliver, Brohm hasn't really, either, Ferentz and Fitz are getting older and UW's coach has disappointed. Who haven't I mentioned, Bielema? He has had the Gopher's number so far, but otherwise not so much.

I think Fleck is the only coach who has mostly met expectations? So this could be the last season you see me defending the B1G West as I have for the last couple years. Can't defend it if the facts stop backing my defense up.

I don't doubt that the Goofers are better than last year's chumps. Doesn't change them getting rolled by tOSU.
Last year's Gopher squad were only down by a fq, late in the 3rd quarter with the ball, when our Heisman quality RB went down with an injury. OSU got a fumble recovery ran back for a td. Had the injury not happened, good chance the fumble doesn't happen, and it's likely the game goes into the 4th quarter with the Gopher's leading. That was LAST YEAR's squad, a squad NOT led on offense by our current OC.

This year's squad would have beat last year's OSU in that game.

If last year's Oregon team could beat them, this year's Gophers definitely could have, I'll even say would have.

Nonsense. Oregon is a better team than Minnesota.

Minnesota hasn't won a Rose Bowl in something like 60 years.

No, they are not. Your #1 RB is the 5th stringer from last season's Gopher squad. He transferred to Oregon because he knew there were 3 better RBs here at Minnesota who were all coming back from injury this year. lol

What does what happened 60 or 50 or 40 or 30 or 20 or even 10 years ago have to do with how good a team is TODAY???

Agree that you have to go so far back to find a time when Minnesota was relevant that they are a shit program.

You call Minnesota a sh1t program yet UMn's got a better winning percentage than Oregon since 2016? What's that say about your Ducks?

All that blood money from Uncle Phil and you can't even outperform the lowly Gophers?! lol

Sure, Minnesota gets to beat up on weaklings while Oregon takes on teams like Ohio State (who destroyed Minnesota the week prior).

Ohio St didn't destroy UMn. 45-31 is not destruction. And OSU scored last, making it look like it wasn't as close as it was.

Or Maybe Oklahoma DESTROYED Oregon 47-32???
difference between these 2 games is UMn was only down by 3 points late in the 3rd quarter. Oregon was down 26 pts late in the 3rd quarter. Oregon basically scored in garbage time at the end of the game to pull within 15, still THREE scores, to make it look closer than it was.

Georgia destroyed Oregon,

49-3?

IS destruction. 46 point defeat??

Utah destroyed Oregon,

38-10?

IS destruction. 28 point defeat??

Utah destroyed Oregon,

38-7?

IS destruction. 31 point defeat??

5 game stretch, 1-4, Oregon was outscored 90-201???

Wow dude, your team just can't hang with anyone.

2-5 bowl record in Oregon's last 7 bowls??

Meanwhile, UMn's won 5 straight bowl games.

A person with 6 fingers on their hand could count how many Cfb Hall of Fame players Oregon has on that one hand.
A UMn fan would need both hands and both feet AND someone else's hand, too.

UMn's produced over 3 times as many Consensus All-Americans, 34 to the 10 Oregon's produced.

And UMn's STILL got a better winning percentage than Oregon since 2016.

And UMn was STILL able to keep their coach.

And Oregon's still using the Gopher's scraps. But still UMn's 2nd stringer is getting more yards rushing than Oregon's starter, lol.

UMn's rated #3 in offense and #1 in defense nationally, while Oregon is 79th defensively??? Dude, that's not even top half?!!

Couldn't care less about Minnesota's wins in shitty bowls.

BigTen fans know that the goal is to go to the Rose Bowl.

Minnesota keeps coming up short.
