Mike Maddux has removed himself from consideration for the Boston managerial position. he said that he had finally gotten his family all together in one state and wanted to keep it that way. looks like he is staying

but he has not yet removed himself from the Cubs consideration...

I believe he'll be staying too...but its interesting to remove himself from one...but not the other.

I hear that with the Cubs, Maddux is just about their Top Candidate. Hope He doesn't leave the Rangers but the Possibility is still Very Good. That comes when a Team has Success like winning back to back AL Pennants. Happened with Jimmy Johnson and the Cowboys back in the Early 90's.

It would be nice if he stayed but if he goes to the Cubs then he is dead to me. LOL! If he does leave, you know who I think would make a great pitching coach and who might be able to get both Holland and Harrison to unleash their inner #1? Jamie Moyer. I know he wants to continue playing but he'll be 48 in 2011. That guy has undoubtedly done it all and seen it all.
