Maybe Saban and Coach O are...but I can't see the Saban protoges in the SEC (Kirby, Pruitt, Bam Bam) getting on that offensive evolution train. I'm a believer in that old statement, "He taught them everything they know but he didn't teach them everything he knows."

Saban and Bryant have one trait in common: they are/were receptive to innovations around them. Not sure that can be taught. It’s one thing to want to
make changes; it’s another to be able to do it without skipping a beat.

I think that's because he always thought he was in total control of the offense so he didn't need the Don Brown of offense. The weirdest thing is hiring a guy who never called an offense to take it completely over. He correctly identified an issue, agreed to change (which is rare for head coaches) and then failed on the execution of it.
