Since 2011 when Oklahoma State choked to Iowa State on that fateful Thursday night, Gundy and the Pokes have been stuck in, at best, mediocrity. Add to it that mediocrity is within the Big 12 conference. I am sure the Cowboy fans, and the 2 we have here, have kept hope that Gundy can return OSU to their 2011 glory days, but with each passing year it seems the only topic of intrigue from Stillwater is Gundy's mullet.

He had one great year and that is about it, yet he's been at Okie State for a long time. He's a lot like Harbaugh where it seems his schtick has kept him and his program in relevancy more so than results on the field.

Not every program can be great. ESPECIALLY if you're playing OU every year.

You know this, man. Don't be so facetious.

True, tough to overcome Oklahoma when they have 5th year Heisman transfer QB's every year.

I was thinking that Oklahoma State has a Gundy problem.

However, I'm starting to believe that the improvement that you saw came directly from the huge donations from T. Boone.

Now that it's slowed back down, they get back to normal.

And that's the way it should be.

Gundy lost to Bo Pelini in Stoolwater (41-51) in 2010. It was the only time they faced off.
Okie jr finished (11-2) that season. Their only other loss was to Oklahoma.

I always viewed Okie Jr as being a lot like Missouri in that every now and then they'll give you a tough game, but overall everybody else pretty much has to be down for them to get to the top.

That being said, Gundy is good for Okie Jr. They'd be dumb to fire him IMO.

Harbaugh and Pelini are only better than Gundy because they had/have more resources.
Gundy could do the same as Harbaugh and Pelini did at Michigan and Nebraska.
However, I doubt Gundy would have had an 8 win season at Michigan like Harbaugh did.

At the minimum he's equal to Harbaugh.

Maybe elsewhere, but not at Jr.

He never beat Oklahoma or Nebraska

1983: 8-4
1982: 4-5-2
1981: 7-5
1980: 3-7-1
1979: 7-4

Yeah, I know that.
Maybe when Gundy changes schools and wins a National Championship and then a Super Bowl, he might be in the conversation.
