Phil Mickelson tied the Open record with a first round 63.

Wow - 3 stroke lead w/ an 8 shot lead on Spieth & a 10 shot lead on Day. We will know a lot by the early morning hours tomorrow when Mickelson finishes his 2nd rd. Great job but you never know w/ that course since it can take away just as quickly as it allows these guys to shoot good scores.
