It sounds like Taylor might be done for the year.

Another interesting point from Qvale about Tommy.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Senior <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Huskers&amp;src=hash">#Huskers</a> OT Brent Qvale says of Tommy Armstrong: &quot; He's mature beyond his years. No situation is too big for him.&quot;</p>&mdash; Steven M. Sipple (@HuskerExtraSip) <a href="https://twitter.com/HuskerExtraSip/statuses/399979595652296704">November 11, 2013</a></blockquote>

This says a lot about the Freshman and the teams rather play for him.

if Taylor were 100% healthy, then yea I'd gladly take him against this MSU defense. However a Taylor that doesn't have that great of a running threat, I'd take Tommy. I think the option is one thing MSU has struggled with (at least in past years, I'll admit I haven't watched enough of their games to know if anyone has tried it against them this year). Honestly though, the key is going to be getting a 1st down passing game going. As much as I want to just run the ball, I just don't think we are going to score enough doing that.

Who says Tommy is starting? Will Taylor be back?
-------
Despite the drawbacks of TM starting, I think he would be our only hope.....going with a hurry up offense. We have a patch work offensive line that probably won't get us any more yardage on the ground than what we saw against Michigan. MSU's defense is best in the conference bar none. The hurry up would prevent or at least minimize numerous substitutions for MSUs defense and IMO that is going to be the key.

For Nebraska to get to elite level defense, a Terrell Farley needs to step up at LB.

If Cooper plays in run support the way he did last saturday, we don't need a special LB.

Michael Rose is getting better and better. Santos was solid too. Nate Gerry needs to play safety next year... He has little upside at LB.

I predict Gregory will enter the draft after next season.

Michigan hadn't lost... 19 straight wins at home.

MSU beats them and the conversation is how impressive MSU is.

Nebraska has a comparable defensive performance and fielded a freshman QB, several shitty
white back up receivers, and a shuffled OL missing 3 starters including a 1st team all-american... Sure enough, the conversation turns to how bad Michigan is.

That was the guttiest win I've seen by a Bo Pelini coached team. It was one of the best wins I've personally seen for this program. Huge.

We get no credit though. MSU doesn't respect us, no one respects us. I like it. Bo is at his best in this type of situation. I hope people keep disrespecting this team.

I think it was right up there as one of Bo's best wins.

I didn't think we stood a chance at winning that game.......the Offense performed exactly how I thought it would.

But the Defense stepped up and played the type of Defense that we expect out of a Bo Pelini coached Defense. It was fucking awesome.

Lewan looked like a little bitch out there.

Restored my faith a little bit. I honestly don't want to see Bo fired now. I was dead set on it.

I don't see him being fired now. That win saved his ass for SURE.

I was so sure we'd find a way to lose that game.

I don't know what Tim's plan is for Tommy and Ron, but it had better be that Tommy takes every snap unless either 1. Things are going horribly wrong, or 2. It's a blowout and Ron comes in for clean up.

Yea if the Defense continues to play improved football, Bo isn't going to lose his job.

Especially if Nebraska plays well against Michigan State, people are going to start buying into the fact that the youth on Defense is finally growing up.

Maybe we were all wrong and Bo actually does know what he's doing....

I so badly want for that to be the case. I have nothing against the man personally. Another blowout and my tune will change though... I'm sick of the blowouts.

It is amazing to think that one long pass by a fat guy could maybe change the entire course of Nebraska Football over the next few seasons.

I mean, if we continue to win now and make the Championship game, we're going to be carrying a shit ton of momentum into that thing.

And if Nebraska beats MSU, some people will say that they were overrated! True story!

I bet Kellogg comes in the 3rd or 4th possession. We may not be able to overcome a momentum change like what happened after Kellogg was thrown in there last game.

It's so clear that we tanked when Ron went in... The whole team lost energy.
