When asked how much he had to drink, Glasgow, 21, said he had had five beers at his home and had been drinking since 3 p.m.
During a field-sobriety test, Glasgow was asked to lift his foot and count to 30, but he could not hold up his foot to count to one. On the next test, Glasgow was to walk forward nine steps and turn; he did that but stumbled.

According to the police report, which was obtained through a public-records request, Glasgow was driving his white Chevrolet Suburban at 8:39 p.m. near William and State streets in Ann Arbor. At least seven other passengers were in the car — or almost in the car.
There were two passengers in the front passenger seat — one buckled in and another, U-M volleyball player Lexi Dannemiller, on top of that passenger, with her body barely in the car while it was moving, according to the report.

Not to somehow downplay drunk driving, but to downplay drunk driving -- the difference between .08 and .13 is a matter of a few glugs. You have one tall beer out at dinner and you're probably close to that .13 mark.

I am absolutely shocked that college kids drink.

Needless to say, my 1968 Oldsmobile Delta 88, 454 engine, 16 miles to the gallon on the interstate, nine in the city, could have fit eight in it comfortably with another four in the trunk comfortably. If we packed ourselves we could have fit 15 inside the car no problem and probably six in the trunk, I think eight in the trunk would have been a problem.

Back in my 0.10 was the limit. One guy in college, he lived in the dorms, I was a frat rat, was legally drunk 24 hours a day, his BAC was 0.16 when he was not drinking. Even worse, he was almost a 4.0 student. If I did the dumb stuff he did, I would have been a 0.40 student.

Oh such a tasty beer. I hate to say Michigan is better at anything than Ohio on anything but man you guys can do some craft beers up there. The laws have made it easier, Ohio is behind on that IMO.

Give Hoppin Frog a try, they make some very good beers. There are others but not as many as MI.
