No other way to put it IMO, this is a MUST win for Iowa to right the ship and to start amassing some more quality wins. 8-6 vs the top 100 is OK but only 3 of those wins are vs the top 50. Cant drop another home game. For Michigan its a game that would be really nice to get. COmplete the season sweep and stay on pace with Sparty in the B10 title race. Pretty much a 2 horse race for the B10 barring a collapse by both UM and MSU. What are the boards thoughts on the game??

Actually RA I think there has been more road wins this year than I can remeber in recent history. Clearly the home team still has an advantage but MSU lost at home, IOwa has lost 2 times at home, Bucky 3 times, OSU 2 times, Minnesota 2 times. I think there are about as many road wins this year already for the top half B10 teams as you see in a full season normally.

Big one for the Hawkeyes. Interesting to see what Stauskas does against Iowa. Tough game against Indiana, followed by a career high in assists with less emphasis on shooting against the Huskers. Also will be looking to see if Robinson can have a big game, in a big game.

Iowa doesnt have a loss to anybody outside the top 17 in RPI and they are losing by an average of 4.5 ppg in those losses including blowing 2nd half leads of 6+ in 4 of them. For all the experience on this team they are still having trouble closing out game vs good teams. Iowa is fully capable of a deep run in March but if they cant figure out a way to close games out they will never make it happen. Team could ( and probably should ) be 21-2 and top 5 in the country right now.

Captain Obvious here... but Michigan really looks like they miss Trey Burke. Not for his scoring, but his ability to create for others. Offense is stagnant with nobody penetrating and kicking.

Marble on fire and could very well break the team record at CHA for 3's if he keeps it up.

Good first half for the Hawks. As great as Marble is playing I get worried when he makes 3's like this because then he starts falling in love with them and he isnt a great 3 point shooter ( today aside ). Needs to start taking it to the basket in the second half, he already passed up a wide open drive to the bucket for a dunk by taking a step back 3 in transition that he missed. Iowa is NOT a 3 point shooting team and is highly unlikely to continue to shoot the ball like this so if they continue to chuck it up from 3 look for Michigan to make a run, if the Hawks start driving and pounding it down low they should win by 15+.
