The SEC coaches are probably not going to like this.

If you were an elite high school football player, would you be willing to pay only $25 to spend four hours with Jim Harbaugh and his staff? Heck, the fee even includes a t-shirt.

Interesting.

Great idea by Harbaugh. I'm not sure what elite HS player wouldn't pay for this.

Meh, I doubt Saban is too worried.

Basically, it's just a matter of semantics in order for a university to circumvent the NCAA rule against 'hosting' a football camp over 50 miles from its campus.

Michigan (or any other university) cannot 'host' or 'run/operate' a camp over 50 miles away from campus, but the coaching staff is allowed to be 'guest coaches', or 'featured coaches' at somebody elses camp.

Again, simply a matter of semantics.

This stuff is nothing new.

But as far as Michigan coming into Alabama and taking recruits, they'll basically get whatever Alabama and Auburn doesn't take. I wouldn't say it's impossible for Michigan to take a higher recruit, but it's gotta be extremely unlikely. Should have gone to Texas.

A decade ago those Alabama studs were playing elsewhere. Then a great coach took over the storied program. I wouldn't doubt that Harbaugh can snag a big recruit or 2 from Alabama or anywhere else no more than I would doubt that Saban could do the same.

A decade ago.

And Harbaugh is not Saban.

Saban probably laughed and addressed an offer package to Michigan's top player

But we've been told that southern players cant play in the cold weather up north. Why do you want our players?

Good move by Harbaugh, think this should get some interest.

I believe they are going to Texas. If I remember what I read yesterday, they plan to run camps in California and/or Texas as well.

Even if we aren't getting recruits from Alabama, the fact that we're in that area means we'll pull in some recruits that probably couldn't make it all the way up to Michigan.

IMO it's a great idea considering the dwindling talent we get form in-state programs.

I read Texas and Florida. Cali and Louisiana would be a good idea too. Apparently they plan to do this all over the country.

Might be able to snag some quality 3 stars that fit needs/style and have potential. You could also get lucky and find a decent player who wants to play at a different position. Nebraska snagged Ameer that way.
