NEW YORK ...(4/25)-- A scout, quoted anonymously by Baseball Prospectus, was highly critical of Travis d’Arnaud.

The scout said: “I haven’t liked him so far. He hasn’t looked good defensively, including allowing a bunch of passed balls. I’ve seen him miss some fastballs, almost like he has a blind spot. It’s slider bat speed and he just doesn’t look very strong. He hasn’t had a whole lot of energy either. It’s been pretty rough overall.”

D'Arnaud enters this weekend's series against the Miami Marlins hitting .190 with one homer and four RBIs in 58 at-bats, although he does have a pair of two-hit games in his past four starts

Hopefully Wheeler stops nibbling and he cuts down on the walks.

Wheeler's command looks very nice..... so far thru 3 inn. he has 6 K's, 1 BB, 0 H allowed.
He struck out the side in the 3rd.

Btw: Alvarez has looked pretty good too.

EY leads off the home 3rd w/ a single thru the hole at SS.....and he steals 2nd.

Grandy hits a sac fly to CF....EY moves to 3rd....(productive out)

DW singles to left...scoring EY....1-0 Mets.

Murphy smokes an rbi double down the LF line....Wright scores.....2-0
Murph steals 3rd....

CY grounds to SS...murphy holds at 3rd....(not a productive out..lol)

Duda flies out to CF....

After 3... 2-nada...metsies.

Wheeler fell behind Stanton 3-1...then surrenders a leadoff single....
Mcgehee pops to CF.
He falls behind Salti 3-0 and WP's Stanton to 2nd....
Salti lines out to CF.....
Jones pops out to left.

Nice recovery....even with the ump squeezing the plate a bit.

Mejia gives up 3 singles and 1 run...but also strikes out the side w/ 2 on in the 2nd.

Mets lost a tough one last night, blowing a 4 run lead.... before finally losing 7-6 in the 10th inn.
