NEW YORK -- Make it eight straight victories for the New York Mets.

It was incredibly costly, though.

Matt Harvey was charged with four runs in six innings. And the Mets exploded for seven runs in the fourth. They then held on for a 7-6 win against the Miami Marlins on Sunday at Citi Field.

Jerry Blevins suffered a fractured left forearm. And Travis d'Arnaud suffered a fractured right hand.

Blevins was struck by a seventh-inning line drive off the bat of Dee Gordon. D’Arnaud departed a half-inning later, after Marlins reliever A.J. Ramos hit him with a pitch. D'Arnaud's injury could launch the career of catching prospect Kevin Plawecki.

Seriously though, it's just an Adam Rubin typo....but truth be told, he meant 8 game win streak (7 @ home)...which began in Atlanta last sunday, and where there's usually more Mets fans than Braves fans anyhow...amirite?

NEW YORK -- The Mets suffered two costly injuries Sunday, losing catcherTravis d'Arnaud and left-handed reliever Jerry Blevins with broken bones.

Despite the injuries, the Mets held off the Marlins 7-6 to win their eighth consecutive game as Matt Harvey won his third straight start.

A.J. Ramos in the bottom of the seventh inning.

A half-inning earlier, Blevins fractured his left forearm when he was struck by a line drive off the bat of Marlins second baseman Dee Gordon. Blevins completed the play before leaving the game.

Both D'Arnaud and Blevins will go on the disabled list.
The Mets will promote catching prospect Kevin Plawecki and right-handed reliever Hansel Robles in their place.

Christ this team is snake-bit with injuries. Nice win though
