There is Shane Falco. The 7th replacement pro bowler. He made it though, so...

Honestly it's a mixed bag for me on Stafford. You can clearly see he is talented yet highly inaccurate (which is maddening at times). That is why his record blows against winning teams. Because poor teams will keep giving him chances to win (which he is talented enough to do). However, good teams capitalize on mistakes (INT's and missed 3rd down throws).

Best post on this thread so far. I do not want to replace at all. I want him to develop more before year 12 gets here is all. I keep hearing he needs more time. How much time does it take? I do not care what Manning did in 79 games. He is not even the GOAT. I would like to know how he compares to Brady and Rogers in first 79? Then I still will not care really. I want Matt to be Matt and to be a better more developed Matt. Not that much to ask for a guy being paid like a proven winner.

The "good to see Suh gone" crowd say he did not produce enough for that kind of money. Yet stand and defend Matt on every level. He needs to perform better and justify his pay IMO.

You know what seems to get left out of these discussions on is-he-or-isn't-he elite? The fact that he just turned 27 a few months ago. Dude isn't even in his QB prime yet, has AT LEAST 10 quality years left, and, as the OP shows, compares very favorably to one of the all-time greats through the start of their respective careers...

We can compare Stafford to Manning, Brady, Rodgers, Wilson or anyone else you want to compare him to. His numbers will stack up to anyone. But he's not going to get respect until he leads this team at least on a couple of deep playoff runs. I'm not saying I agree with it but it's how he's going to be measured so none of this is really important.

Yep. No one gets a rep as a pimp banging fat girls from the UP every weekend. You gotta tag some 9s and 10s every now and then if you want to be known as a true player, and not just a pig fucker.

Stats are one thing. But comparing the gunslinger to Peyton :L. I would rather go to 3 SB's and only win 1 than not even make it to the 2nd round of the playoffs. I'm a little :doobs: right now,but has Matty made it to the 2nd round yet? I'l have to google it

You do realize that Peyton went 1 and done in his first 3 playoff appearances. He didnt win his first playoff game until he was 27 years old...Matt Stafford is 27 years old.

What was the Colts record in those first 79 games? How many wins vs winning teams? Any division titles?

Thanks for breaking the suspense of the next playoff game. No need to watch knowing they lose now.

Edit: just assuming Ed...

LOL I know. Ive got good news and bad news. The good news is, in his 4th try he made it to the AFC championship. The bad news is we have to wait until he is 30 for that Superbowl. If Smitty doesnt fire him first.

Obviously you have the time. Cough it up buddy. We're comparing Peyton to Stafford here, so let's compare wins, wins vs winning teams and division titles.

C'mon Ed, sell me on your theory.
