Matt Elam, ND in Final 3

This is our #1 prospect we are trying to land. 5 star DT/NT Matt Elam. he would take Nix spot I think right away. ND staff just sent him 262 letters to Matt Elam. They call it, his pot of gold. Kelly talks about how bad they want him to come to ND. Don't know if all letter were from the staff or from fans or players. Either way 262 letters is a lot.

Final 3 are: ND, Bama and Kentucky

He didn't say who is #1 is right now but word is ND might be the #1 team to beat here. This would be a big pick up for ND and the defense.

If he's as good as they say he is, he's got a REAL good chance at starting as a frosh! Hopefully, that will attract him over UK. Let's face it ...

Lets hope thats true, and lets hope he pulls the lever for us. I think I read he'll announce during his AA game. Going against the evil empire, excuse me, behemoth of college football on this one. They'd better pull out all the stops to get this one and keep him in fold because we are dangerously thin at that position.

This is a kid ND needs. Every year there are 1 or 2 kids you are like ND needs to land well this is one of them. Imagine we get him and Steal Bo fromthem. That would be awesome.

yeah it would be awesome but I just don't think they'll land Bo from them, but Elam they just might. To me Smith and Vanderdoes were those prospects last year, had them both but one didn't work out.

Will this kid play right away at Bama? I would think he would get more playing time at ND, but I also thought the same about Bryant and Max. Fortsom has been getting more reps, but after last week, not sure what to expect.

Joshua Frazier DT from Arkansas just committed to Alabama so they have a NT in this class as he's listed at 6'4" and 336 Lbs, this could be great news for Notre Dame on the Elam front.
