I’ve mentioned this before and not a likely deal to be had, but I would call AZ to see what it would take to get Ketel Marte back.

He and JP would lock up the middle infield with two very solid bats.

He looks pretty good doesn't he? AZ has a lot of good young bats. Would they take Wong for him? I read somewhere a while back that he was pretty good still.

He looked awesome last night both in the field and at the plate. I think he was hitting .271 going into last night and ripped off three hits so yeah, he can definitely upgrade our 2nd base position. Send Sewald and Wong/Cabby.

And signed through 2027. The only thing that surprising me about him is he doesn't steal a lot of bases. 11 is his career high. I think of him as a speed guy even though he has bulked up once leaving Seattle.

That actually was mentioned in a deal I was listening to, but I guess he is a clubhouse leader according to some dude so highly doubtful. It’d be like Graveman trade Jerry made that IMO cost them the playoffs that year

That is foolish IMO. A. There are few teams that are in the Mariners exact position, so you risk losing the players you actually want. B. It would seem the closer to the deadline the higher the price a team would want.
