And Rodney decided to bring that tying run to the plate with no outs. Good job.

I have officially ran out of tickets for the Rodney Roller Coaster Experience. Can't do it, not gonna do it, won't do it! He is good for AT LEAST one run per outing, and as the closer that's completely unacceptable. I'd rather see the bartender get another shot than continue to watch the game in the ninth.

To defend Rodney this once, because I usually don't, the leadoff hitter hit it right to the 2B who was playing almost behind the bag. Then the blooper that scored the run is an out any other inning but the 9th when managers play that stupid "nothing over your heads' move.

Agreed. With a 3 run lead you just don't want walks. You can live with some of the BABIP hits even though it raises the stress level.

So far, Happ with a rare HR, Castillo an immediate impact, and Zackley with yet another SO w/RISP.

Maybe they can get lucky and this delay will turn into a rain out. the bats are silent again today so far.

How refreshing to have a professional AB out of our C slot. I mean, a lazy sack fly with a runner on third and less then two outs??? Amazing!

Or atleast long enough to keep Tillman seated for the rest of the day.

Being a flyball pitcher hurts in this stadium. That grand slam is an easy fly to left at Safeco

Wasn't it mostly because he had a consistent 97 mph fastball, a good change up and his athletiscm was off the charts? I know seeing the two in AAA Walker had the raw but wow factor while Paxton was like a 10 year pro pitching in spring training.

His command is the problem though. He could throw 110 MPH, but if he's not locating his pitches, it doesn't matter. When I watch him, I'm just not as impressed with him as I am with Paxton.

Yep. Raw potential which can get you a Trout or get you a Walker like in this case. He is still young, but I would have still dealt him couple years back before he proved himself unpolished.

I read an article the other day that stated other GM's and scouts believed he would never control his wildness or develop a 2nd out pitch. They are rate so far.

Problem with a pitcher with Walker's ability is it's difficult to move on from him knowing that he could get his shit together.

Early on in his career, Felix got by with a fastball that touched the upper 90s, but he became elite by developing his secondary pitches and his control. "Stuff" can only get you so far.

Didn't even realize the game was on right now. Really strange for there to be a game this early on a Thursday, I know occasionally there are day games on Wednesdays, but even compensating for the time difference it's a strange time.

Hate to continue with a long string of posts, by why did Happ get pulled? Was he really that bad? 4 ER isn't pretty, but he only gave up 4 hits.
