Well, of course after mowing down Houston twice and the Texans, it makes sense that Paxton would struggle against the mighty As. I kinda had that feeling after the 2nd inning when his pitch count was around 40 that it wasn't gonna be his night. But that's baseball for you.

Did Leonys jump the shark when he walked off the As at home last year? Some time after that he got hurt, missed a month or so, then was nowhere near as productive when he came back...and now this. I love the guy -- of my fave Ms -- but holy cow it's been tough to watch him at the plate so far and then makes a bad news bears play last night in CF. If he's not gonna be hitting, we at least need the amazing the defense every night.

Looking for a bounce back start from Kuma tonight...

I think he fell in love with his fastball and started to throw more, pitch less. Diaz kind of the same. Even guys who throw 100 mph have to still pitch. Good move by M's.

altavilla's slider (and diaz's for that matter) is too good for him not to get things fixed and become a big asset out of the pen
