The mariners ..have given.
A lot of reason for it .
And over the years .

But if they are ever going to.
Be good this seems like a good team .and a good time..for that...

They have extra guys. Just in case .
So that helps .

The owners have to be happy as they stand to make more
Money. And within..budget

I know we don't really care about that .

But Jedi has to and he has done a good job .
This offseason..
We really..could not ask.
For a better .job under the.
Circumstances..

And even though the mariners have lost..
A draft pick..Houston will.
As well..
And it's my bet rangers will.
By the end as well..
I'm just smiling .
At there self distruction.

Lots of the initial headscratcher offseason trades were to get pieces for bigger trades later in the offseason. That's what I was hoping to see. I'm trying to be optimistic here.

I am a Mariners pessimist and for good reason...well 47 good reasons in fact. My yearly gripe is that fans continue to accept minor moves as the next big thing and it just kills me. Mariners are smart. They deplete the team, cause chaos and then make minor moves making fans think they are giving them the world. I compare it every year to the oil industry. They hike up gas prices by a dollar a gallon and make people go nuts then they lower it by 50 cents and people think they are getting a bargain. No, they literally increased it by 50 cents. No bargain. No gift. Not on our side.

This is the Mariners way and it continues to work for them. Not on the field, but on the books were it means more to them.

But I am still intrigued to see how this all plays out during the season. We should start a pool to guess how many games this projected starting lineup plays together. It is a brittle group to say the least.

Be lucky to get 80 games of a full lineup. Medical staff going to earn their paychecks this season.

I went into the off-season saying that is a positive for Ohtani, not for all the acquisitions. It could work out but it just sucks that all of the real projections is numbers, Garver, Polanco and Haniger will get playing over 100 games. The other eye opening “stat” is everyone is so stoked about Santos because his projected season but Raley’s projection is to be one of the biggest regressors (if that’s a word) in the sport.
