I wonder if Beimel or Lowe are going to be the corresponding moves. Of course if that is the case then 40 roster adjustment would have to be made.

exactly so I would doubt both.

“Medina was elevating quite a bit,” McClendon said. “We need to get some things straightened out, and it’s hard to get it straightened out here in the big leagues. It’s just almost impossible.

“Both of those kids need to go down and get a couple of things straightened out, and they’ll be fine.”

Not surprised by either of those guys coming up from Tacoma, they both have done well. Beimel was part of that great bullpen last year so maybe having him around will help these guys not only with talent but in the clubhouse as well. I am glad to see Taylor getting the call. I fear that I will hate the way LMC decides to use him though.

I like Chris Taylor so much better than Miller... He was a blast to watch down at Spring Training... He plays some wicked defense and his bat isn't that bad either... Looking forward to seeing him reclaim the starting SS role... Miller to play some LF again?

ON a positive note, Danny Hultzen pitched at AA Friday... He threw 3.1 innings, with 4K's and no ER's... Very good to see in his first outing...

Does anyone know if Miller did any outfield work during spring training? If they didn't they should have. They should have done that a long time ago when they saw him play SS and he sucked at it.

Could have something to do with perceived trade value. Keeping him in the infield as much as possible is good because even if he's not doing great at SS, remember he's actually a competent 2B.

I'm in favor of trading him, personally. I'd rather acquire an actual outfielder by the AS break or after the season ends.

They had Miller practicing in LF at the end of last season, don't know about spring though

It seems to me they did have him practicing in the outfield prior to the official reporting date. I know he was shagging balls during a BP session and there was a coach with him out there (not AVS). No game action though.

Here's my issue. I get Miller isn't the best SS in the world and has had a few issues the last week but he has excelled in hitting right handed pitching. One of the 3-4 spots in your order that was producing the first month was Miller. Now because you want to "shake things up" you essentially take his job away while a guy like Ackley still is playing vs righties. Essentially Miller is going to relegated to the bench until Jackson returns from the DL and then Miller will get sent down to learn the outfield.

I got nothing against Taylor either but there's nothing to suggest he can hit at this level yet. I just think an odd message is being sent by doing this.
