Saying hi to a bunch of kids for 10 minutes after a game is nothing to praise. I'm guessing there are at least 100 CFB players on any given Saturday that do that and more.

Yes, clearly he never should have spent any time with those kids. In fact, he should have kicked the little booger eaters out of the way (like Lawrence Phillips or someone apparently did to you).

It's special because it's something those kids will always remember and something that not enough players do, especially after a tough loss. Sorry that actually has to be explained to you.

Good on Mariota for taking a few minutes out of his day and seeing those kids. Is it a huge thing, as some have said? No, but it means a lot to those kids and he didn't have to do that. Good publicity is was football needs right now, both CFB and the NFL. Way too many black eyes lately.
