This is all to build hype and controversy so ESPN and various other sports sites get tons of hits going in to the season. So far no one has come forward with any real evidence, even the supposed video is said to show no exchange of funds. So even if they can prove he signed a bunch of items for an autograph broker they still cannot prove he received any compensation.
Actually it is NCAA legal for him to do this since he owns the rights to the trademark. So he did nothing wrong.
ESPN reported today that he received $7,500 according to his broker.
I don't see Johnny getting out of this situation without punishment. I think it would be best for the Aggies to bench Manziel until this is resolved. The Aggies cannot claim to be ignorant of Manziel signing autographs so they would put the program in jeopardy by playing Manziel while there is suspicion.
what's the big fucking deal here? Auburn and cam newton set the precedent a few years ago. As long as johnny didnt take the money directly then no offense. so johnny's assistant gets paid, johnny sign items, and no one is none the wiser. yes ncaa you are a joke and you deserve to die.
