And in another article I read it seems the drive manufacturers are a little peeved and taking steps to remedy this kind of malware.

Just a new hard drive, but they didn't say if it only infected the boot drive or ALL drives. That would suck because I have 3 internal and 5 external on my machine.

Interesting read. Nice to know that right now it's mostly targeting overseas interests, but if one group is doing it it's likely just a matter of time before someone else gets their hands on this level of exploit and it spreads.

Wonder how effective current AV's are at detecting these. Is there the potential it's more wide spread than they think because of lack of detection?
