I hope we get Shelton. We got crushed on the ground after Bloaty Ngata got hurt last year. A run stuffer takes pressure off the LBs to take on full-speed, down-hill RB’s. Huge need for this defense.

Agree 100% on Ngata. Wrote a post about it late last season. I know many hated him because of Suh, but that guy did his job stuffing the middle. After he got hurt, A’Shawn couldn’t hold down the middle.

A lot of Ngata haters will never admit that. However with him this season the run defense gave up 74.6 YPG. Without him they were at 136.8 YPG before yesterday’s putrid performance.

I found it and that after the Bears game in week 10. So these numbers actually got worse after the Bears went around 200 that game.

Thought it was pretty funny when I read an article by a major Lions site that said Spence was in the mix for playing time at DT.
