Also, be prepared for Anzalone to receive an offer from some team beyond what JRM got last year from the Texans. He made a comment recently during an interview after the last game stating he has to think about taking care of his family with his next contract.

Really like to see Jamal back but I wouldn't break the bank for him. I also want Cominsky and Buggs back since we need depth in the line. I'm neutral on Anzalone, but like Jamal won't break the bank. Probably no thanks to Chark since it takes away reps from JAMO, whats the point of drafting him if we're throwing to other guys?

Alot of the Lions players are young and fairly inexpensive, so we'll probably see a lot more signed back.

I think Evan Brown will get starter money from another team. Lions will be in the market for a new swing lineman and starting RG.

  • Avg. Salary: $8,761,649
  • NFL Rank: 249

BB_72: I cannot fathom Dean's value being below - 10M per year or even sub 12-13M per year.
I think Dean is one of those that adds plus value on the field, but no numbers track his full value. So metrics that only look at those numbers undervalue him

I'd much rather have Bradberry as I don't envision Dean as a CB1 possibility but rather one who should be viewed as better than what is currently on the roster and has 4 years of proven experience.

That is correct so long as Vaitai's nor Kraemer's back injuries are considered career ending.

Holmes cannot be pigeonholed come draft time hoping to secure a starting RG he's comfortable with drafting all the while hoping his guy is available outside of possibly going that route with an OT at No.6 who can start out playing RG and later on be moved to one of the OT positions when or if needed. You know where I'm going with this possibility. A few scenarios would have to occur in those top 5 picks to make this happen.

I don't view Chark as taking away reps from Jamo. I believe it's more in line with taking reps from Reynolds and Raymond at the present time as they're more WR4/5. Both Reynolds and Raymond are worthy of retaining as they'd be considered productive enough for their cost in 2023.

I surely wouldn't entertain any price above 12-13M per for Chark and wouldn't consider any contract longer than 2-3 years. Both Reynolds and Raymond are free agents after 2023. Goff does have chemistry with Chark and having Chark gives you three speed option WR in him, Jamo and Raymond to stretch the defense. The one area we all will question with Chark is injury.

I'm going to lay out some statistical data to make the case for Lions fans to get on board with signing James Bradberry to shore up CB1.

I'm certain most fans would rather go the route of drafting a rookie for that position and some fans believe two CB should be drafted. I don't believe that is ultimately the correct or wise route to take as we all know the majority of rookie CB take time to develop and furthermore hoping to hit on a Sauce Gardner, Denzel Ward, Marshon Lattimore, Marlon Humphrey, Jaire Alexander, Jalen Ramsey in the first round isn't guaranteed.

I believe that Bradberry is worthy of a similar deal that Slay received once he was traded to Philly. Bradberry will be nearly the same age as Slay was and has also shown to be as productive or near to. Slay's contract was almost 51M for 3 years in that extension and 30M in guarantees.

I would go up to 5 mill a year on Jamal. I would resign JJ as well for 1.5. Elliot as well on defense.

I'd love to see two of the players that you brought attention to this board on the Lions roster in 2023 and they are James Bradberry and NFL 2023 Draft Prospect Devon Witherspoon.

Witherspoon is by a far margin my favorite CB in this entire draft.

In his press conference on Tuesday, Holmes sounded up to the task.

“On the plane going back (from Green Bay), yeah, I was excited,” Holmes said. “I was like, ‘Man, it’s time to get players now.’ And that just gives me juices, man, when that opportunity and those windows come up. It’s exciting to have the capital that we have.”

That last sentence is important. The Lions, for yet another offseason, have a lot of offseason resources. They have two first round picks, two second-round picks, and a fair amount of cap space, too. But how does that measure up with the rest of the league?
You guys got a great one when you hired Holmes as GM.

Phenomenal scout that knows how to identify players, which explains why your guys drafts have been great the past 2 seasons, and will continue to be so going forward.
