Contract-year RB Le'Veon Bell says he will consider sitting out the 2018 season or retiring if franchise tagged for the second-consecutive year.

"I hope it doesn't come to that, but I would definitely consider it," Bell said Thursday. Asked what he wants the Steelers to do this offseason, Bell said he wants to be properly valued. "Just get the numbers straight, exactly where we want them," Bell said. "I know what I do and what I bring to the table. I'm not going out here getting the ball 400 times if I'm not getting what I feel I'm valued at." It's a more than fair point. Bell made $12.1 million under the tag in 2017. That number would be roughly $14.5 million for 2018, Bell's age-26 campaign. More interesting quotes can be found at the link below.

Not that I think it will take a high draft pick RB to improve what the Lions have, but there seems to be a lot of depth available. Freshen the stock of what we have with a more team friendly salary. You can't survive as an organization with the highest paid player at several positions, but you can with fairly compensated players throughout the roster.

Bell likely isn't a good as his numbers and if he signs with anyone but Pittsburgh, that team will regret it. He produces big numbers but their offense in general produces big numbers. I think he's as much a system guy as he is a beast. When he was suspended, old ass, out of the league now DeAngelo Williams filled in and they didn't miss a beat. I'll be pissed if we overpay Bell.

I'll go with option 6: draft an RB in the middle rounds. I'd go D-line early if the draft falls right, not RB.

I like that kid Love from Stanford. I think he is better than McCaffrey, especially between the tackles. He is not very big though.
