I look at this as a lose/lose
Either the ducks lose and their streak comes to an end(if the nucks win in regulation)
Or the Nucks lose and fall further behind the Kings.
Both great loses
Only bad outcome is overtime. Ducks streak lives on and Vancouver gets a point.

That's not a good sign at all. Why would a player even say something like that to the media? If the team feels that way they should keep it in house.

As for the Ducks, the playoffs can't begin soon enough.

I think it depends on what the refs will let you get away with early - if they don't call much, you can play a much more effective physical game

Well Garth has made 2 bold moves as GM of the Islanders. The first one he got lucky because the Oilers got nothing for Smyth who signed with Colorado. We'll see what happens with Vanek. He seems to be enjoying the area & playing on a line with Tavares & Okposo. I still want a new owner & GM no matter what Vanek decides to do, but if they can sign him it would be huge for the organization.
