7 assists on 7 field goals so far, the Lakers are actually passing the ball?? I've actually seen the Lakers swing the ball around a few times, I feel like I'm in the twilight zone.

I said it earlier in the season. He's perfectly capable of getting 7+ assists a night.

I expected a loss. The Lakers have given up so many points in the paint this season and they really did a great job on Drummond, arguably the best big in the game today, certainly the best traditional big. Hibbert is among the top 4 in the league in blocks per game, he's done great against anyone who doesn't have the last name Whiteside. Great spacing on offense, the Lakers actually shared the basketball, just really like what I saw today and I want to see more games like this from the Lakers. Some bad shot selection and bad turnovers but overall the best game of the season for the Lakers.

Ended up watching the game at a friends house. Was impressed with the effort and agree with Outlaw that this is the best game they've played his year. Kobe played 36 minutes, which is too many, but they needed to get a win at home. According to the paper, he will sit out tonight's game as a result.

when I posted he sucks.....he didn't have those numbers in the first half. He rebounded okay.

Yep, I'll take a win, any win. Kobe is playing too many minutes but as the team starts to stack up the wins (hopefully), B. Scott will rest him more when he does play.

ALSO agree with outlawimmortal that the phenomenal amount of points we give up in the paint is unacceptable. let's hope THAT changes in a hurry...

Not necessarily. He was only in for 20 minutes and the Lakers were actually moving the ball last night. He may have only had 2 official assists, but we don't know how many times he made a pass and the guy he passed to got the assist (the "hockey assist").

And again, the kid is 19 years old and 10 games into his career and learning the position that is the most difficult to master.

I think Russell is a combo guard or shooting guard.....not really a PG.

Kobe, Clarkson, Williams, Young are all players who excel in 1 on 1 situations. Not going to get many assists with those guys. Russell has looked good past few games, he probably should cut down on the 3-pointers and try to attack the rim a little bit more but he's got the talent. Just needs to put it all together.
