Kobe is off to a good start where it all began many moons ago. Philly up by one . Randle is playing like the beast that he is. Clarkson is also having a good game.

Hibbert didn't pick up the shooter going all the way to the basket. No communication between Randle and Metta.

Lou Williams is back from his leave of absence.

There is that ridiculous substitution by Scott having Bass play the five.

Noel is getting an easy path to the basket. No inside D. Lakers trail by one at the break.

Swaggy misses a lay-up. I think this team has not solved its problem of missing easy lay-ups that dates back to the Mike Brown days.

Metta is beginning to embarrass himself with that possession.

Lou Williams hits a three. Kobe has the other three, threes.

Bass hits a mid-range jumper playing like a four there.

Metta redeems himself to drawn the foul and the Lakers are up by five.

End of quarter one and we are up by 7. Kobe got us going for a change and he is the leading scorer of the game with 13.

Well that series had Kobe getting a shot blocked and then he tried a bounce pass that sucked. We have 1 TO and we are doing some things right in this game.

Noel gets inside again with an easy lay-in.

This time Covington gets an easy trip to the basket. No paint presence whatsoever. We are back to no paint D and shooting threes and jump shots.

This time Samson gets the O rebound and then jams it down drawing the Kobe foul. The middle is wide open. Nobody wants to play paint D.

That was totally unbelievable. Nobody boxed-out the FT shooter, he gets the rebound, and gets fouled!

Okafor misses two shots in-a-row. And this guy is what people were yappin' about to take over Russell? I'll take Russell at this juncture.

Nick Young - played 1 year in Philly purgatory
Kobe Bryant - high school phenom out of Philly

Glad to see the Philly crowd give some love to Kobe
wish he played his career in Philly but even though Kobe plays for "one of those other teams not named Philly" it was good to see the crowd give him the respect and adulation he is due for an outstanding career he has had
One of the best and arguably the best to play the game

Now with that being said let's see if Sixers can get a win here and get off of the goose egg
