That was fun. I am glad I stuck around. Tomorrow night with OKC. Let's see if the Lakers can get revenge for the 40-point whoopin they took.

In his first 17 games, Bryant averaged 15.9 points on 29.6 percent shooting.

In his past seven games, Bryant is averaging 20.6 points on 48.2 percent shooting.

Yea, DJ. Kobe admitted he didn't have his legs and was forcing a lot of shots. He has become more of a facilitator and still taking shots with better game-situation derived choices. Last night he played a great game and even played shut-down D of Will Barton who killed us in the first quarter all by himself. Kobe told Scott: "Let me have him". Barton didn't do much the rest of the night while Kobe was making some serious post-up passes to open guys and hitting some timely shots. It was a thing of beauty to watch!

That's what I was most impressed with from Kobe last night. Barton scored 23 points in the first half. Kobe held him to 2 points in the 2nd half.

It was awesome to watch the old/new Kobe literally be the coach/player on the floor. Great game indeed.

Yep. He had a great answer when they asked him how he was able shut Barton down too. Kobe said that he knew he couldn't stay with him athletically, but he knew where Barton wanted to be on the floor for his shots and just made sure that he kept him off of those spots.

That's a great lesson for the young guys. It's not always about being the best athlete. Do your homework, pay attention, learn a guys spots and keep him off of those spots so he can't get comfortable.
