Lackey was scheduled to pitch last night but was rained out.

The scheduled opposing pitcher tonight is Chris Tillman, coming into the game with
386 career innings pitched, with a WHIP of 1.38, 178 strikeouts and 148 walks.

Lackey's career WHIP is 1.34 in 1982 2/3 innings, with 2056 hits allowed , 592 walks,
1565 Ks. Unfortunately he doesn't pitch that well as consistently as I would like, but on his good days...

Let's hope tonight will be one of his better games.

GO RED SOX! :yahoo:

FYI, the Sinstripes will be hosting Tampa Bay at the same time as our game,
while Houston hosting Toronto will start just a few minutes earlier.

NYC's other team, which I have nicknamed the "Debts", have a day-night doubleheader
with the Washington Nationals. You can probably guess who I'll be rooting for
in those games.

Unfortunate that we didn't score, but at this pace it would take Tillman 198 pitches
to go 9 innings. That beats the unprintable out of a down-in-order inning.

We want Lackey to rack those up, not Tillman.
