I'm not the only one thinking Houston is still in the National League, am I?

Lackey's scheduled opposing pitcher is Brett Oberholtzer, a 24 year old rookie
making only his 2nd career MLB start, 5th appearance.

14 1/3 career innings pitched, 14 hits allowed. 10 Ks with no walks, but
a 7.36 ERA. I get the impression he doesn't keep his cool in tough situations very well.
Here's hoping I'm right about that!

GO RED SOX :yahoo:

The StRays are off tonight, the Sinstripes are visiting the Chicago White Sox,.
Pettite vs. Quintana.

Houston is only 18-37 at home this year, so we have a good shot at gaining ground
in the Division race tonight.

Was any other poster here ever in the old Astrodome?

I was once a long time ago, and I didn't come away well impressed by it.

I thought the same thing when Ortiz was batting. I thought to myself "Damn why would they have Ortiz & Napoli in the lineup together. Is Napoli catching to give Salty a break"...I fel like an idiot when I realized but then I thought that there has to be someone else who was thinking the same thing.

BTW I know it's alittle off topic but I've been wondering if anyone else has been thinking that Thornton hasn't been a great pickup for us and that I hope he does end up on the DL so Britton can stay and keep throwing the way he has been. He's been throwing really well and I feel like if he threw that way early in July that Ben would never have made that trade to get Thronton. Too bad Miller got injured, if he had stayed healthy and Drake continued to throw this well I think our bullpen would be so much better. Hopefully with Workman & Wright there being able to chew up innings it'll benefit us more. Sorry to get a little off topic but I had to get that off my chest and I didn't feel like a new thread was necessary.

Not ready to say anything about Thornton yet, but can't help remembering that I grew up very near Britton Road
in OKC. My family did a lot of grocery shopping at a store on that street.
